STRIDING THROUGH JUNE

June has flown by and a bunch of milestones have been made. You've just got to take one look at the Goals board in the gym to see why there a so many smiles around this place. the end of June marks the half - way point of the year, can you believe it's half way through 2022?! after a slow 2020 and 2021 due to the "C" word it is so nice to have a year flying by.

We had a cold snap of Winter, which saw the purple crew baking in the sun for morning tea and lunch in order to defrost from the cold 10-15 degree days... don't worry, we are back to our normal 20 degree winters days now.

DID YOU CATCH THE WHEELCHAIR RUGBY NATIONALS?

The Wheelchair Rugby Nationals were held at Carrara Leisure Centre over the weekend and saw teams battling it out for the prestigious first place. The QLD Cyclones took out the Division 1 silver medal, with a few of our other clients playing for other teams all receiving bronze, silver and gold in Division 2. Well down to all who competed and who continue to show us the real grit of the sport, it sure is a tactical game and keeps us all on the edge of our seats at the side line!
