March

March, the month of mayhem and madness! We welcome our newest Osteopath Georgia 4.0 and get ready to open our northern doors in Ormeau. Clients and staff got glammed up for the biggest cheque the Perry Cross Foundation has raised in one night.

Make sure you are staying update on our socials pages for events, the newest Tiktok gimmick or some informative facts about SCI or what it is like to live with an injury.

ORMEAU IS OPENING ITS DOORS NEXT WEEK!

In a few days, our first sessions within our second facility will be kicking off! It has been just over 3 months since we shared the big news about 'Strides North' and we cannot wait to see the impact it has for our northern clientele.

We are very excited for the opportunity to offer our services to some new faces and to those more enticed by the shorter drive time. To celebrate ‘Strides North’ we are offering a one-time only opportunity to come see what goes on inside the purple walls with 50% off the first 5 initial evaluations booked in the new Ormeau facility. But hurry as our books are filling up fast! And watch this space for updates as we move closer to our April 3rd opening!

Contact info@makingstrides.com.au for booking enquires.

HAVE YOU MET OUR NEWEST OSTEOPATH - AKA Georgia 4.0

We are excited to welcome an (old) new familiar face into the purple family! Georgia has been practicing down in Sydney and Newcastle since graduating at SCU. She absolutely loves helping people get out of pain and back to having the freedom of movement! As an osteopath, she tends to look at the body as a unit and holistically takes all aspects of the person into consideration, using physical manipulation and dry needling methods. BOOK IN TUESDAYS by emailing info@makingstrides.com.au.

PERRY CROSS GALA RECAP

If anyone can throw a party and inspire people to donate to a life changing cause, it is Perry Cross. The 2023 "Everything is Possible Dinner Gala" is one for the record books with an incredible $1,025,000 raised thanks to Nicola and Andrew Forrest who pledged to match all donations made.

Perry has the ambitious goal to raise $3.5M this year so the Griffith University’s Spinal Injury Project can start the stem cell transplantation human trials. For the first big event of the year Pez, you do know how to get the job done!

You can access the professional and photo booth photos taken throughout the night HERE!

WINGS FOR LIFE - GC LOCATION

Once again the crew at Strides will be getting their steps in to help raise awareness and money for an international SCI charity event. It will be held on the 7th of May at 9:00pm, but this year we want to bring it to the Gold Coast. Stay tuned about details of the location. In the mean time, get your friends and family together and sign up to our team in the below link!

ZEBRAFISH

Last month the team spent the morning up skilling their knowledge on human developmental movement patterns and pilates principles. Thanks to Stephanie, the founder of American Neurorehab community Zebrafish, for teaching the crew at Strides different ways we can help our clients become their strongest and most independent selves!

RTI WORKSHOP - THANKS WENDY

It had been a long time between visits but it was refreshing to see our other favourite American, Wendy, come through our doors for an RTI Workshop Day! Wendy from RTI Connect spent the entire day educating our staff and improving our clients programs. Thank you Wendy and we can't wait to see you again on your next Aussie trip!

If you are interested in booking in for an RTI session to either upgrade your home profile or complete regular sessions at Strides North or South, book in through info@makingstrides.com.au
